St. Peter’s Woman Stabbed by Home Intruder in Attempted Rape

Rape-1Yet another violent home invasion in St Kitts this time in the Monkey Hill, St. Peter’s area around 1:30 am Tuesday, November 1st 2016.

According to the family of the victim, who was stabbed multiple times by the attempted rapist, “someone broke into her house and tried to rape her. Luckily she was not raped because she fought him off as she awoke from her sleep”.

The family of the victim took to the Facebook inbox of Facebook blogger Everton “Obi” Elliott to report the shocking news. Freedom Fm understands that the young lady who was attacked, is presently warded at the JNF Hospital nursing stab wounds.

The young lady is expressing thanks to God for sparing her life and that of her daughter, who was asleep by her bedside when the early morning attack occurred.

Over the past 2-3 weeks there has been an upward spiral in violent crimes in St. Kitts-Nevis as rapes, robberies and murders have escalated. This past week the country was reeling from 3 brutal murders and armed robbery.

Freedom Fm understands that police investigations into this pre-dawn rape attack are ongoing.
