nimblet-1The St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force via a press release from the desk of Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Wallace is dismissing all rumours connecting them to alleged robberies committed by someome said to be an ex soldier.

In a press release issued on Thursday by the Defence Force’s Public Relations Officer, Kayode Sutton, it was stated that the St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) is aware of a Whatsapp message being circulated warning people to be aware of an ex-soldier who is said to be posing as a Flow employee in order to gain access to homes and commit robberies.

The SKNDF wishes all concerned persons to know that this individual was never a member of the Defence Force and that as far as the Police and Defence Force are concerned the story in circulation did not originate in St.Kitts-Nevis.

Speaking to Freedom Fm Newsdesk on Friday, Captain Sutton revealed that the same picture and information was being circulated in Antigua and possibly other Caribbean countries as well. Sutton warned individuals on social media and facebook to be careful of what information they forward and circulate. Sutton said it was irresponsible for information to be circulated without fact checking and ensuring that the information forwarded was accurate.

“I actually got a call from a close professional friend from the Antigua & Barbuda Defence Force who indicated to me that there’s a picture with the name Nimblet the same one circulating in St Kitts, circulating in Antigua and causing alarm in Antigua”, said Sutton.

Sutton reiterated that The Force encourages persons to be aware of who they allow into their homes and to exercise caution at all times.and that the SKNDF remains committed to efforts to curb criminal activities from the streets and communities within the federation.

“The public is urged to continue to support and cooperate with the security force’s effort to make our society safe for all”, the Capt ended.
