Diabetes General Meeting

Diabetes-1The St.Kitts Diabetes Association, (SDA) , will hold it’s next General Meeting on Sunday 30th October 2016, at the Old Girl’s School Hall on Victoria Road starting at 3 pm. Steps to strengthen the association will be discussed , as we continue to observe the increasing numbers of Diabetics on the island , as well as the alarming frequency of complications linked to the disease.

Plans for the week of activities celebrating World Diabetes day on the 14th November 2016 , will also be discussed.

All members of the Association as well as family members of Diabetics, caregivers of Diabetics and other interested persons are invited to attend. Transport will be provided with pickup at the various health centers around the island main road, starting at 2pm.

On Thursday 27th October 2016, the Association will carry out the next in the series of High School Screening exercises, this time at the Cayon High School. This exercise is part of a program activities organized by the SDA, to hopefully detect Diabetes at an earlier stage in the life of people in our Federation. The St.kitts Nevis Red Cross Society collaborates with the SDA in this venture.
