Cable apologizes for channel interruptions due to Olympic broadcast rights

Basseterre, St. Kitts: The Cable has apologized for interruptions on channels 4 (NBC) 74 (Telemundo) and 36 (Spike) due to Olympic broadcasts rights. The Cable said in a release issued yesterday:

“Through the generous sponsorship from the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Ltd, The Cable has acquired rights from International Media Content (IMC) to broadcast the London Olympic 2012 in St. Kitts, which can be viewed on channels 36, 80 or 98.  

IMC has exclusive rights to broadcast the Olympics in the region, therefore, unauthorized broadcasting of any channel that provides coverage of the games, will be an infringement on IMC’s rights which can have legal repercussions. The Cable sincerely apologizes for the interruptions on channels 4 (NBC), 36 (Spike) and 74 (Telemundo).
